Logan Martin Lake

Logan Martin Lake is located in central Alabama 30 miles away from Birmingham along I-20. Logan Martin Lake was built along the Coosa River in 1965 when Logan Martin Dam was constructed. The depths of Logan Martin Lake widely vary between 35-110 feet. There are some shallow parts to this lake so extreme caution is urged for boat operators. The lake features 275 miles of shoreline that snakes around many coves. The lake has so many coves that locals nicknamed the lake, “Lake of a Thousand Coves”. Logan Martin Lake covers over 15,260 acres and is controlled by Alabama Power Company.
